I've visited that site a few times. I'ts a shame they have to cut down due to lack of internet speed. They are very dedicated astronomers.

That has been my "GoTo" website for all things ETX for many, many years. Fortunately he is leaving the site up, even though it won't be updated any longer. There are still many links that are useful for tips on the equipment and it's use, repair and mods.

Part of the reason I came here...to hopefully extend the online support for these great little scopes. I know they were marketed as "everyone's telescope" carrying with it the stigma of being "cheap", but the optics are really top notch. The only issue people have had with them have been somewhat flawed mount/operation designs. But the scopes themselves have really very high quality optics. My little ETX105 is (to me) on par with a 4", high focal ratio, APO refractor. That's right...I said it.
