Needed some 90 mm rings - ordered the revelation rings from these guys [just like WO ones - James from FLO pointed me there - top man] arrived two days later with the clouds. :)

Megrez 90 now mounted awaiting clear skies.

I always had good service from them also.

Me too. I have bought a few things from them and have always found them quick and efficient.

A while ago I bent a couple of nylon finderscope screws and they sent me some free of charge.

Agreed. I've always found them very reliable, fast and trustworthy, and they're at the top of my list of favourite astronomy suppliers.

They once supplied me with a dew controller which turned out to be slightly faulty, but sent me a replacement unit immediately when I reported the problem - I received it the next day and was very impressed.

There are only a few occasions when I have ordered bits from TH, but their service was very good I have to say. I used to love going to their shop when it was in London. Farringdon Road. I always was made to feeln at home, even though I never made a purchase.

I just gloated over the huge scopes on display and dreamt one day, one day, one day. "Hey, how much longer are you going to be"

The wife, giving me a rude awakening.:)

you know i used to go there often as a boy too. In fact i still remember 20 years ago being taken in there by my mother to purchase my first pair of binoculars. Carl Zeiss Jena 7 x 50 because Patrick Moore recommended that spec.

Does not seem like 20 years now, but i recall testing these and my mother buying them for my xmas. One of the best pressies ever, and yes i still have them in my brown leather case, and yes they are still very much in service.

ONe Caveat, only i use them no one else!

I do remember looking in awe at the giant meades, some of them at 13 years old (i am 36 now) used to virtually tower above me.

As with many here i always used to think "one day, one day"

Thank heavens i have a wife who supports such investments.

Since i met her 4 months ago, i've invested in a DSLR camera with all the trimmings, booked on two more star parties.

life is good

I just wanted to say that in the years I have been purchasing equipment from UK suppliers, and this is a personal opinion based on my own private purchases...that all of the above, along with a few more such as Venturescope and SCS, but regularly those listed above, have delivered excellent help/support/advice and prices. They are a credit to the industry, and should be heartily supported where possible

Given my dodgy knee problems I have decided to scale back on the night-time astronomy until I feel a bit better.

Had a bit of money spare so decided to get a Coronado PST from TH. Excellent and quick service from them as always. Mind you, the packaging is so tight you need a crowbar to get the scope out of it's box :D

Looking forward to using it for the first time although it is cloudy now of course.

Just received a couple of new bits of kit - 90 degree mirror and a 2x Barlow from RV and TH respectively.

Both items were ordered on a Monday and they had both arrived by the Wednesday and were superbly packaged :)

I've had good experiences with TH, but I've not used RV before but i'll certainly be using them again! Good prices too - the cheapest I found my items anywhere.

Just a quick post to say how pleased I am with both these companies. Both the guys at TH and Bernard at MA have been most helpful and patient with me while I've been asking relentless questions. Bernard in particular has really gone out of way to advise me on things and the service has been second to none. A real pleasure dealing with them both.

Just wanted to publicly recognise great service and delivery time from Telescope House and Fedex.

Called Telescope House on the 22nd December to check stock availability, placed my order in the morning of 23rd December and the items arrived today 24th December at 09:15!

With all the problems everyone seems to be having with backlogs and delayed deliveries - Fedex and TH came through spectacularly!

Well done and thankyou to telescope House and Fedex from a very satisfied customer

Best

Nick

Ordered Revelation focuser for my lightbridge. Unfortunately the focuser produced a fault after 2 days so phoned Telescope house regarding returning it, after a phone conversation with a very polite apologetic chap it was sent back.

New one arrived very quickly with postage refunded.

Great service.

I took advantage of the 10% bank holiday discount and ordered a few winged rubber eye guards and a Telrad base plate on 25th May. They arrived today, so can't really fault that :D

I've ordered several times from TH and always had a similarly efficient experience.

And I can highly recommend the winged eye guards :p

I bought a Solarmax II 60 recently from Telescope House. I am enjoying using it, but found that the clamshell it came with didn't have screw holes that fit any dovetail I had. Consequently I ended up having to use a binocular mount threaded single screw to attach it to my Skytee. This simply wasn't good enough to mount on my HEQ5 Pro as it kept slipping, and a lot of scope was in danger of hitting the deck.

I 'phoned Telescope House and asked what tube rings / dovetail they recommended. The chap I spoke to said he thought it was daft that Meade didn't supply a dovetail, so Telescope House had manufactured one + screws to fit the clamshell. He asked my address and said that one would be posted to me, free of charge. It arrived today.

It is basically a cut down Skywatcher dovetail, with appropriately placed screw holes drilled + two screws that fit this and the clamshell. My Solarscope is now much more securely mounted than before.

Thanks for a great service Telescope House.

Tom

I ordered a Revelation 2" diagonal just before Christmas. when the order arrived I was a little surprised to see £250 worth of Tele Vue 6mm eyepiece so I did the decent thing and left messages to get it taken back. After much fuss I eventually sent it back by post and was promised a 10% discount on my next purchase. Dispite 2 emails and a message left on their phone they neve rgot back to me when I attempted a week later to make a further purchase and did not even refund the £5 postage when I requested them to do so.

Today, I ordered a Revelation Dual Channel Dew Controller. Within less than and hour my order is being shipped and will arrive express tomorrow at no extra cost.

I have to say, that I have used Telescope House many times over the last year, and there service is 2nd to none. Never had to chase, never had an issues with the kit from then.

Up there wit FLO.

Ordered a pair of bins (one of the few places to have Revelation 15x70s back in stock) and a couple of L adapters around lunchtime on Wednesday last week; had dispatch confirmation by end of the day and the bins arrived on Thursday.

Slight problem in that the order only contained one L adapter (bins and one were a gift, the other adapter was for me) so I dropped them an e-mail; had an apology same day and the other adapter arrived on Saturday.

Excellent service that held up when something went a bit wrong - full credit to them and will definitely use them again.

J.
