45 hour collaboration.

When Les Tilly kindly offered me his Ha data we decided on a full collaboration and asked Tom O'Donoghue to join in with his 11 hours of luminance. So what's it like working on 45 hours' data from three Takahashi FSQs? It's... very nice! Getting into the core took a while with lots of layers and in truth there is more outer glow than we have (yet!!!) captured.

Full credit list, then, is Les Tilly, Tom O'Donoghue, Ian Bird and myself.

That is so much better at full scale

not a great fan of black background PI produces but on this image it looks great

wish I could get stars anywhere near as tight

great stuff

Steve

Actually it's not the bog standard PI background sky balance, here. I lifted the reds by a point or two. A lot depends on the colour of the main object which can, through contrast, make a neutral sky look wrong (as it seems to me.)
