Halucinating

I work in the middle of last night and looked up and there was a really bright star, roughly looking north. I thought that looks interesting I wonder what I'm looking at.

When I properly woke up I realised it was the smoke alarm warning light

Well at least I saw something, more than I'm going to see for the next week judging by the weather forecasts.

The weather looks the same here in Sussex. The local forecast was cloudy up until Friday! hopefully after that it will clear for the rest of the weekend; we can live in hope! I have so many new things I want to play with & things I want to look at - new web cam for finder scope guiding, new home made camera mount for my compact for wide field photos, Orion starting to rise at a reasonable hour and Jupiter too.
