Synscan handset to EQ6 pin-out

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if the Cisco console RJ-45 to DB9 patch cable has the same pin-out as the Synscan handset to EQ6 cable?

This is the Cisco mapping...

I don't seem to be able to find one for the Synscan. Only the RJ-11 to Serial (PC), which I already have.

NO, THEY ARE NOT THE SAME.

I'm 'shouting' just in case you are tempted to try it.

The EQMOD site shows the pinouts.

Thanks Steve. I knew it was a long shot. I am still having trouble finding the pin-outs for the handset to EQ6 though. The EQMod site appears to concentrate on EQDir setups. I found an old diagram of Steve Richards, which I thought might still be compatible???

Now I can use a standard Cat 5 cable (which I have in abundance) and one of these:

Those adapters I posted a link for are rubbish BTW. I got myself a decent D-Sub connector and hood and soldered it on to the end of a Cat 5 cable in the end. Worked a treat

Two Years on...

... I have the same problem and have looked everywhere for

a wiring diagram.

I am also in need of a EQ6 handset cable to mount and i am

going to make my own cable so i just want to be certain that

i understand the diagram correctly.

The male 9pin connector am i correct that the view is of the

pins cable soldered side and the RJ45 is the view looking

at it head on and cable coming in from behind?

Sorry about the daft question i just do not fancy blowing my

board.

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread. I’ve just moved from an Eq6 to an AzEq6 and want to use by Bluetooth eqdir serial adaptor from Dewcontrol.com with my new mount.

If I follow the previous diagrams and make an adaptoris there any reason that it won’t work (other than my rubbish soldering skills)?

Well just an update to say “Eureka” my Bluetooth eq6 adaptor now works on my Az-Eq6gt thanks to these wiring diagrams. ?
