Hi folks,

Although I'm now getting to grips with imaging through my newly arrived TEC 140 'scope being new to the forum I thought I'd share an image from last year taken with an ML16803 behind a very modest Pentax MF camera lens, focal length 165mm and used wide open at f/2.8. Hα was from 5 x 1000 second exposures and each of the RGB images was from 3 x 200 second exposures. I was, and still am, finding my way processing deep sky images and have adopted a rather individual style when colouring Hα, allowing the colour to wash out as the nebulosity gets brighter. The stars were removed from the Hα image and the stars from the RGB, sans any nebulosity, were added. Processing via PixInsight and Photoshop.

The full res (4096 x 4096 pixel, 5MB) version can be seen by clicking the image.

Bob.
