Registax 6 - file size limit ?

Recommended Posts

I'm having problems with a couple of AVI's from last night.

One is 2Gb+ the other is 4Gb+

Been processing multiple lunar AVI's of 500Mb all day no problems, but these two (Jupiter) seem to lock up Registax.

Is there an upper size limit on Registax?

I'm not really sure but suspect that the answer depends on the power of your computer. Recently I tried to stack four tiff files (converted from RAW) from my DSLR on my netbook. Registax just froze.

I have just stacked 39 similar images without a problem on my new computer.

Jim,

That is for Registax 5.

I don't see the selection options for large files in Registax 6 (I presume it is always enabled).

Dave,

I hope it's not a PC processing power issue.

I'm running a dual core 2.4GHz, 4Gb memory, 32 bit Vista machine.

Fully intend to move to 64 bit (probably Win7, but not yet).

I would have thought that was sufficient.
