Default New observatories showcase opportunity. - 8th January 2010, 12:26 PM

Hi all, I hope this is the right place to post this.

It's been a while since I last put out the call for all those wonderful home-built observatories out there. There must be a lot of new ones up now.

I have a page dedicated to these wonderful buildings which is already quite long and has a lot of great ideas for inspiration. There are some dedicated astro nuts out there!

If you would like your efforts showcased on my "Other Observatories" page, please send me an email to infoatasignobservatorydotcom

Send a nice picture of the outside of your observatory, a short paragraph and a link to your own website if you have one.

Here's the page it will appear on. I'd love to add yours to the ever-growing list.
Other Observatories

Cheers,

Baz.

There are links to loads of metal roll-off roof observatories on the 'Useful links' page of my observatory website.

er...thanks Michael...is that an attempted hi-jack?

Well folks, as you can see there are quite a few new ones up and the page is growing! What a great resource to draw your ideas from and help you spark some new ideas of your own in the pursuit of building your own observatory.

Keep them coming folks!

Baz.

No! I was simply giving you a link to some observatories you can could add to your page.

Ah, OK. Thanks Michael.

I really do need permission from each observatory to put their photo and info on my site though. That's why I ask for submissions, rather than just taking it upon myself to use their details and photos.

I appreciate the effort though mate.

Cheers,

Baz.

Lots of great looking obsies there, I shall peruse at my leisure.

Ask not what your god can do for you, ask instead, what can you do for yourself.

North West Englandshire, near some other forumeers but far away from others. Also rather close to an astronomy centre. Occasionally in the South China sea too.

Telescopes (some on tripods) and EPs. A HUGE pair of binos. Oh yes and a cheshire collimator. And a HUGE, mean, evil and downright bad tempered dawg.

Surely there must be some new ones out there by now. Anyone care to add theirs to the list?

Are you able to clear up the images or is it just my PC that makes them a little on the blury side?

It's the resizing in the lightbox code. When I get time I will reduce them all to 800 x 600 and see if that helps a bit.
